Runs like a hard drive case champion

HF7-SU31C) Purchased: July 18, 2020 System: ASRock X570 STEEL LEGEND WIFI AX AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard; AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8 Core 3.7GHz (4.3GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 105W Desktop Processor Platform: MS Windows 10 Pro 64-bit I have 10 SSDs in a 2020 build described above. I had replaced (2) WD 1TB HDDs, (1) Seagate 1TB HDD and (1) Seagate 500GB HDD with (4) SSDs. I bought a Mediasonic HF7-SU31C to install these hard drives. The discs contained many photos, videos and graphics. I installed them in Mediasonic, plugged C/USB-C into USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port on my motherboard and voila. All 4 drives were recognized immediately and I didn't have to format anything. I've scooped from these (4) hard drives and added them while doing my video and graphics work with no errors. HDDs are much slower than SSDs, making them ideal for storage and backup. Drives work at an angle of 85° to 90° when the door is closed – there are almost no overheating problems. To open the door, I place my thumb on the left side of the door and my fingers on the right side of the door. I gently squeeze my fingers and the door opens with no problem. Port C/USB-C can be as fast as hard drives, so not lightning fast, but definitely faster than just USB 2.0 or 3.1. The NVMe SSD on my motherboard is over 1900% faster than HDDs. I uploaded a 3GB video to NVMe in less than 15 seconds. Downloading the same video to hard drives took about 22 minutes. I back up my operating system with iSumsoft Cloner. This Mediasonic is one of the best purchases I've made in the last five years. (4) Hard drives would only be a boat anchor if it weren't for this little miracle box. When these drives wear out, I replace them with new HDDs because I really like the storage feature and would rather use an SSD for processing.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • So far so good
