Functionality is less than the original 2.0, but it’s still great.

I missed the different apps that Sphero originally had that made it as good as it was. Most of their functionality lives on in Sphero play, but the games like Chromo are lost forever.

LEARN TO CODE: Powered by the free Sphero Edu app, you can create and customize games and code Sphero Mini by drawing on your screen, using drag and drop coding blocks, or writing JavaScript.

Cons

The app can be slow to respond at times

My 7 year old son loved this! It’s so much more versatile than I thought it would be. Don’t be discouraged by the packaging or lack of instructions. Let a tech-savvy child download the app and they’ll figure it right out. So many cool things to do with it - you can drive it around in several different modes, and play a series of built in games, among several other things. It’s really very neat.
