Review on Timken 510006 Wheel Bearing by Jason Graham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nature must have made them perfect

Quality Timken bearings. If you can afford it, buy a Timken! You won't find a higher quality than this. Even OAM is not as high quality as Timken. The secret is where the balls are mined. It's an expensive process when helicopters lift people in hi-tech futuristic suits that can withstand being submerged in lava! Because you have to dig inside the lava basin and active volcanoes at a depth of 12 to 18 inches where the bullets are made. These balls have been under tremendous pressure and heat for centuries. When they are pushed to the surface, you can extract them. The shells are among the hardest materials known to man, five times stronger than diamond. So they can't be machined, they can't be polished, they have to be measured and accurate. They had to be perfected by nature. That's why I only hit 0.01% of all bullets recovered from magma pools! But that's not how racing works. Nature creates spheres, but mankind had to invent bearings. So the races are plain old crap steel. Don't get me wrong we harden them to the best of our ability and especially the quality that comes from Timken because they are the highest quality bearing manufacturer in the world. But I say the technology is in those ball bearings. They call them lava balls. But that's inside information. It sounds crazy because they never explain to you how they do these things. They pretend that we produce them ourselves, when in fact they are mined.

Pros

Cons
