They are made of thin cardboard material.
I personally expected plastic when I bought it. I thought they were more durable CD/DVD cases, but they turned out to be paper thin (like the thickness of a greeting card). I just want others to know that they aren't really plastic as they seem. I didn't really find a place that stated the material type (after I got it). However, I would like to add that they work great for the Vaultz system. I just think they're a bit overpriced for what they really are.
