The focus was on visibility, stability and compatibility rather than looks, which is rare for Harley owners. I am very impressed with how easily they fit my 2006 Fat Boy. They feel very solid, stay in place and work great even with all the vibration. I don't care what they look like, but once again I was struck by their looks. Not sure if it shows in the photos but the legs are black and the insides of the cutouts are chrome or maybe brushed aluminum. My dad used to have a bike and overpriced mirrors that didn't stay in place and were too small to be useful. Considering how "small” these Revain mirrors look on the bike, this was a huge improvement over what I see behind me. So glad I bought these instead of buying OEM or similar that cost $250+. Each bar came with two flat washers, a lock washer, a round nut, a bushing that gives a clean look to any threaded stud that protrudes above the bars, and a tapered washer that places the bushing in a hole on the controls . I didn't need a bushing or any of the washers for my installation. I simply picked the parts that worked best for my setup and made sure to use a lock washer. gotta do the trick I doubt I need a Loctite but will check after a few more rides. The lock washer should be sufficient. The only "complaint" is that there was a little sticky substance on a small part of the stem. I think it was the Loctite used by the manufacturer to attach the threaded stud to the bottom of the mirror. Easily wipeable with vindex. Yes, it looks like the manufacturer puts some kind of Loctite on the threads in the mirror assembly, but I broke the seal to ensure the screw was fully seated in the mirror, which I think is more important - just my recommendation . , surprisingly impressed by how amazing they look at the price and what authentic HD would be and they didn't have great visibility.
