Many people say that the cable must have a plug. Well, yes and no. Yes, BUT it should be noted that USB-C and Thunderbolt cables are DIFFERENT. Can you imagine how annoyed you would be if you plug a USB-C cable into your drive and computer and it doesn't work or run at USB speeds? C? The problem will be your fault if you switch from the included cable BUT you will still blame the company for the drive being bad. Yes, they had to make a cable that could be wrapped around the drive like I've seen others do, and it looks downright silly sticking out of the included pouch. But remember there is a reason for this and move on. I copied 2 140GB files to the drive in about 3 minutes, not sure if the internal drive was the speed limiter or the external one, but I got 1.6GB/s to a peak write speed of 2GB/s reached. It's fast enough that I can run a virtual machine on an external drive! VERY nice and cheaper than buying a larger APPLE internal SSD. I got it during a $50 discount offer, so $250 for 1TB is a really good price for so much speed. I think you will enjoy this disc.
