Review on Atlantic Onyx 1209 35 CD Tower: Sleek Matte Black Steel Storage Solution by John Brazington

Great way to showcase a large collection!

If you're good with spirit levels and construction tools, this is the best way to display your CDs. I bought 12 of these to show off my 400 CD collection for $132. I screwed 2 1x2" oak boards to 2 studs in the wall and painted them to match the wall. Then it was just a matter of marking, drilling and screwing each tower into place - a little tedious, but what a weekend project? I completed the bottom row with one Oak plank shelf that was left over from another project. The matte black metal looks great and I love that I can read titles without turning my head to the side.Metal is a big step up compared to chipboard, which break after a few years. someone will buy our house and wonder what it was all for :-) When you are of a certain age, using CDs gives you a certain satisfaction and nostalgia. I'm playing through an Onkyo C-7030 (black) CD player. I've ripped all my CDs to Apple Lossless and use my iPod when I'm not at home, but I still prefer the CD player for serious listening. And some CDs have good synopses. I've ripped all my CDs to Apple Lossless and use my iPod when I'm not at home, but I still prefer the CD player for serious listening.
