The item I received was brand new and unused but after installing it on the remote control there was an annoying small crack on the front of the case. The packaging did not appear to be damaged or punctured in any way, so it may have come from the factory that way. It doesn't affect functionality, but this small crack may lead to more case cracks in the future, so I've decided to return it. It wouldn't be so bad if it was on the back of the lid where I don't usually see it. If you look closely you will also see holes in the bottom right corner of this case. Not sure what its purpose is as it looks like it was made for a lanyard, but my remote doesn't have holes for it anyway so those 2 holes in the bottom corner look unsightly. Otherwise the setup would have been pretty decent and would have done the job as intended.
