I really liked the Cocar 19" PC Monitor (White). The idea was that the size would be contemporary for use with retro PCs, even if the aspect ratio wasn't authentic. The experience started off pretty well, with the stand and base of the monitor which were actually metal! Unfortunately the two pieces of metal didn't fit together properly which required a bit of work. To compound the injury the hole holding the two pieces together wasn't properly drilled. Cutting Trace the hole and use a slightly larger screw. Will this happen to you too? I have no idea. Just saying Cocar's quality control isn't the best. As for a real monitor, the HDMI experience is fine Analog VGA input is not bad but not perfect, some resolutions and refresh rates sync much better than others Image quality with intact input is not very good Weak backgrounds Background lighting, light leakage, poor backlight uniformity and cheap TN panels are to blame, if image quality is your concern then consider buying an IPS or even VA panel instead. Colors and contrast are poor, as are viewing angles, and there is general motion blur in dark areas of the image. Pooh. There are speakers, but they're tinny and sound terrible. If this monitor was cheap enough to overlook its flaws, that would be a thing. However, at $113 (at the time of this review) the Cocar is more expensive than the larger IPS and VA panels! Crazy.
