Waist 35 inches here, XL fits exactly how I wanted it which may be a bit tight for some people. It's a good length and I love the zip pockets. I've only had them for a week or two, so I can't comment on durability. But if they last a year I wouldn't mind spending the money on a pair of shorts that fit me. Be careful not to make them too small. as they don't have as much material as cotton or spandex. One update comes with zipped bags - they're only useful with zips on, which means things will eventually fall out if they're not closed. This is especially true if you're on and off during a workout go and move.
