This kettle is probably the best we've had, mainly because plastic-free options are really rare - if you want plastic, free you have to pay. It's a shame that the quality doesn't quite live up to expectations. Yes, the pros outweigh the cons, but it's still not a five. (Why it's so difficult for the industry to deliver reliable, plastic-free kettles under 3 numbers is a topic for another day.) Things in previous reviews still apply. HOWEVER: A nagging quality/design issue with plastic screw covers along the top edge near the drain pipe. Stupid little plastic pegs don't stay in place - the one on the right of the neck kept bouncing - reminded me of a cheap car. So I understand that I could return the product, but now it's my burden to start the return, pack, ship back and wait for a replacement that can keep having the same problem over and over again. Now every time I open the lid I'm reminded that I paid a lot of money for an item that just didn't arrive. A bit disappointing but I hope the marketing and design folks take note.
