blocks of numbers! Best Sorting Stacking Toy

My 3 year old was hooked on the UK series Numberblocks on Netflix recently. I wanted to give him some sort of toy that would allow him to "play with numbers" like they do on the show: add and subtract to create different shapes. These math cubes are PERFECT. My son can easily tie and untie them by himself and he loves to play with them. I absolutely believe this toy along with the Numberblocks show helped my 3 year old who is not even a preschooler develop an understanding of basic math! A word of caution: as other reviewers have noted, these stones are not suitable for younger children. I have a 1 year old who keeps trying to eat them. I don't know if he can actually swallow one, but he can definitely put a cube or two in his mouth. We just make sure the kid is under close supervision if his older brother is playing with blocks while he's around.
