I have a THIRD, yes a THIRD Audiovox Sirius STARMATE5 and all I can say about them is that they are BADLY made crap! I had exactly the same problem with the first two, after a short time the presets started to reset themselves. As any ST5 owner will tell you, when you program a preset channel the unit will beep and after 6-9 months the unit will start changing the presets. What's annoying in itself, but not the end of the world where the escalation begins, is that the device beeps every time it changes a preset. And not just once, but 20-30 times. Imagine you're driving down the street trying to listen to Sirius and that damn block beeps every 5 seconds. And disabling/disabling the device, turning it on and off, etc. doesn't solve the problem. It will eventually go away on its own, but these cramps occur at least once a day. I originally bought this unit because it came with a remote control, which is a great feature. Too bad none of the other Sirius radios have it because I will never buy a STARMATE5 again. You are nothing but garbage. UPDATE: It's 5/20/2013 and my third Starmate is now beeping and rebooting! Save your money (and hassle) with these mountains of junk, avoid them at all costs!
