This is my third Sirius radio. Although I have some issues with their other components, I love their radios. This is one of the new radio stations that supports the A La Carte feature that allows the user to select 50 of their favorite channels. It's so great because it allows the user to save money and still get a Sirius radio. The sleek design looks great in my truck, home and office. Great product in every way!

Sirius Sat works great! The remote control is very handy and it's easier than trying to spot the receiver on the street. This is a great choice if you are a new Sirius subscriber. A big screen or LCD radio is a waste of money if you live up north where cold weather can cause the screen to freeze. The "Pause" ability is exactly the same as the DVR/Tivo: you can answer a call or whatever without losing a joke, part of a song, etc. My only comment is your connection type. The Sirius St5tk1 unit I bought does not output an FM signal even though the instructions say so. Without FM signal this device is useless to me. the problem is in the dock. Sirius sends a new dock but no signal. Back on the phone with Sirius I ask to send it back for a refund and get a refund from Sirius and eventually they refuse and say I should send it back to Revain.com who refuse to collect it because I'm past 30 -day return period exceeded! Now I'm stuck on the Sirius defect calculation.

Satellite radio reception is fantastic on this unit, apart from your occasional loss of signal because you're going through an underpass, which is understandable. I like the blue backlight and convenient radio selection. A couple of things I don't like is that if you press the station button for more than 2-3 seconds it tunes into the channel. I have had Sirius for many years now and before I get to the actual radio, Sirius customer service has gone downhill and I would give up if anything else was available. The radio is fine as long as you don't switch it to other docks. I use it at home, in the car and in my portable boombox. I have a THIRD, yes a THIRD Audiovox Sirius STARMATE5 and all I can say about them is that they are BADLY made crap! I had exactly the same problem with the first two, after a short time the presets started to reset themselves. As any ST5 owner will tell you, when you program a preset channel the unit will beep and after 6-9 months the unit will start changing the presets. When SAT radio first started, small receivers had powerful FM transmitters to relay the signal from the small SAT receiver to car FM radio or home radio.
