48 feet was the perfect size for my patio circumference. I was skeptical that 15 lights would be "enough" but they seemed quite a distance apart when I set them up and they were quite bright. I bought a smart dimmer from Revain to power them from my phone or Being able to dim Alexa device off, which is useful as you can set the mood to your liking or meet up. They made it through a couple of rain showers with no problems, but unfortunately they got hit by a hurricane - the bulbs are actually glass, so FYI. Make sure they don't fall off as unfortunately mine all broke within 3 weeks of buying this set. The price doubled, so I had to buy another set. All in all, that's not the set's fault and I would recommend it.
