I've always been a leather snob but I liked the vertical design of this briefcase so I decided to give it a try even though it's vegan leather. COLOR: brick red. Not purple like wine, but not bright like cherry. I really like this color because, to me, red is a fashion neutral color that goes with everything except contrasting red. SIZE: Some reviewers said it was too small for their 17-inch computers (and it is). Other reviewers said it was too big for the wallet (I agree). I use it as a briefcase with a 15" MacBook Pro and it's perfect. CONSTRUCTION: The padded computer pocket on the front inside has an elastic Velcro strap to keep the computer securely in place. The bag also has a computer pocket in addition to it small pocket for my iPad. Ideal. But what I really like are the outer front pockets. On the outside there is a 10" wide x 7" high pocket with magnetic closure. You can see it in the picture under the two vertical zippers see. What I really like is the magnet on the clasp. To me, that's the difference between a useful binding and a useless one. The front pocket has three pen holders and one key holder. The key fob is a 4" leather strap that attaches you attach your key ring, then fold and snap in. My keys are too bulky to use without distorting the profile of the bag, a But it's a nice feature when you're carrying a regular key ring. In the second photo, I opened this bag up a bit so you can see where it is. Above this bag, as you can see in the photo, there are two zippers. Each opens a pocket that is as high as one zipper and goes as low as the other zipper starts. They just lie on top of each other. You can't put anything bulky inside, but they're perfect for business cards, a cell phone, a slim wallet, or just cards and cash. such things. I love that the bag has some stylish features like the zipper. See my first photo for a closeup of them. These aren't just old zippers. You have style! The shoulder strap connects to the front left side of the back and the back right side of the bag to ensure even weight distribution. Nice gesture. They could have made the shoulder strap a bit sturdier. But that's a matter of aesthetics, not comfort. They have a thick adjustable pad on the strap so it never cuts into your shoulder. And of course pens. While the main zip slides like a dream, the two small pocket zips are a bit finicky. Very little. I probably wouldn't have noticed any of these little suggestions if I hadn't looked closely at the bag to give you a detailed review. If you found this review helpful, please click Yes. I would appreciate it! :)
