I wear EU mountain bike shoes in size 45 and bought XL covers. They fit perfectly and I have no trouble putting them on. The zippers on the back work great. After a gravel ride, they kept my feet dry and warm (and clean). As someone else said take your time getting dressed and don't pull on the zip areas and also make sure you match the rear holes around the grooved sole on the back and make sure the front holes are clear for the spikes are. I expect them to last as long as they look. I won't wash them very often (as they still get dirty with every ride - maybe just brush the dirt off the surface). As long as they last I will buy again.
