Review on DaFuRui Digital Voltmeter Two Wire Voltage by Dylan Aaronson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice little voltmeter with no external power supply

Nice little voltmeters! The box they came in was unexpectedly bougie, but let's just say that speaks volumes about their quality. I put liquid tape on the back of the voltmeters I used to protect the back solder joints from shorts, but other than that I got exactly what I was hoping for when I bought these voltmeters. separate power supply, are not expected to be of great or perfect accuracy but for the most part they seem to measure accurately (see photo uploaded - claimed 11.8v while a voltmeter with separate battery showed 11.95v). The photos show how I used these "mini voltmeters" - I extended their positive/negative ends and terminated them with a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel connector and I reconnect this lithium ion battery /ab when I want to check the voltage level of the battery (to determine if it should be charged or not). All this to power a secondary amp (also purchased from Revain - a Facmogu F900, yes it's too much for the speakers I used it for but I keep the volume on it accordingly) to get sound on to send the Bose SoundDock. A Series II speaker that was gathering dust and that I wanted to make useful again (removing the plug dependency and adding Bluetooth capability). Fun little project, I feel like the result was exactly what I wanted and this product helped bring it all together!

Pros
  • Great quality
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
