The strap rings are part of the sturdy case. In other cases I've tried, the rings attach to the case and fall off, and the phone almost fell and broke. The case is much thicker than other shoulder bags I've bought and still has the ability to charge the phone wirelessly. Hope it lasts long. So far this is the best case I have. I've tried 2 other cases and they suck. 2 months after I had this case the paint on the lid is peeling off. Apart from this problem, the case is still solid. I downgraded a star from 5 to 4 because of this issue.
