One of the easiest softbox solutions ever!

I have been happy with Fotodiox products over the past few years and when I came across some similar products but Fotodiox had them for almost half the price I was glad to try them. I saw a 20" but settled on a 24". I was a bit apprehensive at first as everything is plastic except for the hardware which felt like a cheap toy. This softbox simplifies on-site installation. It comes with a zip pouch (which really works) and once you've installed the two light diffuser panels, you'll never have to take them off. Inside the softbox is a silver reflective material. There are six METAL rods (some brands have fiberglass that seems to snap) that basically snap into the slot with a release button. work for 10 seconds. You then insert the handle into the back of the softbox and attach your favorite flash (I use the Yongnuo YN560ii and iii). You may have a transceiver at the bottom and still be able to adjust the elevation to the flash. I attached the softbox to my stand with a barbell and it seems to stay in place without flexing. This is where I find the YN560iii comes in handy in combination with the YN560-TX, as I can control the power output and zoom while it's high. I'm sure there are other settings including other flashes that can do HSS etc. In any case, the softbox's small, deep design makes it easy to soften focused light with a flash scaled up to 105mm. But when shooting with a focal length of 24mm, the light is distributed evenly. When you're done, simply remove the flash, handle and loosen each of the six knobs, then fold up the softbox and secure with the attached Velcro strap. Literally 30 seconds of work! A highly recommended product for both indoor and outdoor shooting without taking up much storage space. Very light soft box.
