Review on 🚿 Moen Gibson Posi-Temp Shower Only Trim with Eco-Performance, Valve Required (Matte Black) – Improved SEO by Justin Sharp

I have mixed feelings about this grip and cap. Looks very nice out of the box. And it is clear that this is a genuine Moen product. Brushed nickel looks nice. It has a slightly golden hue. The handle is made of metal, durable and comfortable to the touch. The wall paneling is nice but I find it made of plastic with a metallic look. It feels like light weight solid metal. The shower head is very nice and high quality. The hand is also good and fits well. The wall cover for this is made of plastic. The grip cap fits into the holes on my existing plumbing and fits perfectly with the Positemp grip. What worries me is how it looks installed. There is a large gap of almost an inch and a half between the wall plate and the handle where the mounting screws and valve sleeve are visible. In my opinion, this gap looks terrible and cheap. In addition, the handle is hollow, which creates the perfect spot for water ingress and mold growth. By far my biggest complaint is the amount of fingerprints and water marks that show up on it. It looks awful unless you wipe it down every time water gets on it or you touch it. All in all I'm disappointed with it. I expected a much higher quality from a brand like Moen. I would recommend considering other options before settling on this one.
