I bought the ASICS Gel Kinsei 4 after taking off a pair of Adidas Supernova Sequence 6 shoes and before that I had Adidas Sequence 5 shoes. I am an avid runner and after each run I stick with it Keep my shoes in cedar and replace them after 300 miles of running. I weigh 155 pounds and the Adidas Sequence 6 shoes felt very hard and I never really liked them from the start. I could tell right away that the soles of the shoes were made of a harder material. Some people would describe this feeling as "fast", but I'm in my early 40s and my body hasn't adapted well to the firmer feel of the Adidas Sequence 6. I ran in the Adidas Sequence 5 which felt softer. before that I ran the Brookes Adreline which had a good balance of firmness and softness and before the Brookes I ran the Asics Gel Kayano which I really liked. But this time I went back to the Asics brand and thought I would try the Gel Kinsei because it was very beneficial and they seem to have a lot of cushions that my body needs. I ran in the new Gel Kinsei 4 once and the feel is 10 times softer than the Adidas Sequence 6 has ever felt so I'm very happy with them. I've been running for a few years now and I know that once you put them on and run in them you either like them or you don't! The comfort of these shoes matched the softness I was looking for. I look forward to owning them for the next 350 miles or so and if I need new shoes I will decide if I want to change the look or feel. But I don't need to change these shoes as I feel stiff from other running shoes.
