ASICS Gel Kinsei Island Orange: The Perfect Running Shoe Review

After six months of brief use, the air pockets in the sole of the shoe dissipated, making them unstable and unwearable. That's my review!

Love this shoe, light, flexible, had to buy it back, rode over 200 miles in it and loved every second. I'm not a runner, but it's like running on clouds.

Great running shoes but they were retired after 1 year of heavy use. YMMV. I liked the design and the colors. High price for short lifespan. Half recommend if you are not a serious runner.

First of all, I never buy shoes on Amazon. I would go to the store first, if not in person then online. But I thought I'd just give it a try. Anyway, I've tried several pairs of shoes. They were probably the most expensive shoes I've ever bought, but they are wonderful. I usually wear big, so I went up a half size. Fits perfectly. Love her.

I had to buy regular Asics shoes that I always buy (from the Nimbus series). It's really not something I would recommend to other runners. Don't let the 60% discount fool you, just don't buy.

I'm an easy runner who does about 5-10,000 runs a week in nice weather (in Hong Kong where I live it's about 70% of the year). So far I find them comfortable and thanks to their firmer support I can run faster while protecting my feet and also unlike ultra light shoes. But obviously as it's quite expensive I'm not sure if it's really worth the money or not for a casual runner like me but they're still in great condition after over a year so I have no complaints.

Cool sneakers! The most comfortable pair of running shoes I've ever bought. I've always bought Nike running shoes, but now I'm an Asics fan! Great style and got a lot of compliments on it. Great value and worth the price.

The best runners I've ever had. I run about 5 miles a day, 6 days a week. Depending on the weather and the route, I change several different pairs. This is definitely my favorite pair. Much better than Kinsei 5.

Bought these to replace a worn pair of 4s and they fit just like my last pair! Perfect support and cushioning in the forefoot compared to everything I've tried. I love these shoes!

Bought these for my boyfriend who is a nurse and stands all day - he's worn them to the bone in 2 years but still enjoys wearing them and finds them comfortable. Definitely worth the steep price. He has never received many compliments/comments on shoes in such fun and crazy colors!

It's a little narrower than I expected, I have really wide feet. It's just that I also have a Kinsei 5 and it fits perfectly. However, I use it every day and am very satisfied. In general, if you don't fit wide, then a good choice.

These shoes are AWESOME! I read a number of reviews before purchasing and decided to choose the Kinsei 4 over 5 or 6 as I've heard complaints about the quality being HUGE inferior to the 4 (tears prematurely, wears out quickly) - me so glad i did! I've been using my Kinsei for a few years now and run/hike/walk around town/do CrossFit regularly with them and they're still in great shape! I get compliments from them all the time and so far they fit my foot very well. They were a bit uncomfortable

Very comfortable shoes. However, they are a bit sluggish when walking. I have a larger build and run 3-5 miles a day. I prefer Mizuno Wave Creations.

I ordered this model because I have a pair that I previously bought that have served me well and are very comfortable. I'm a tall guy who walks a lot to get exercise. It was great to get this pair for about $25 less than the previous pair. I received them in a few days. I would recommend this model to everyone. I love her. I used my wife's account.

I only bought them because they were a stupid bright fluorescent color and reminded me of my Travel Fox shoes I wore in the 80's! A believable story.

Links Asics Gel 15 Nimbus to try this Kinei style. Doesn't work for me. Good for family outings, but the Nimbus 15 is the perfect pillow.

Not as smooth transmission as Cumulus or Nimbus. But they're pretty good. I had to switch from Mizunos because the new Wave Creations are completely different. It takes some getting used to, I use different leg muscles, I feel sore. Although they are quite heavy

Too bad they still haven't made a Kinsei with that look and feel. I think I like the Asics Gel Sendai now but haven't tried them on yet. In fact I bought 3 pairs of this particular shoe so that when one wears out I have another ready. I did this because it's rare to get a shoe that you love so much.
