Description of Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 215/65 R16 102T

The Hankook iPike RS2 winter tire, like the model of the now previous generation, is designed for passenger cars. It is characterized by improved traction on slippery surfaces, braking efficiency and reliability in difficult road conditions. Newly developed tread patternThe key difference between this tire and the first generation iPike RS is the tread pattern. Its design remained symmetrical and directional, but the shape, size and arrangement of the elements changed significantly. The central part contains larger intersecting blocks. This noticeably optimizes the distribution of the external load across the contact patch in this area, thereby providing better grip stability. In the shoulder areas, the blocks, on the contrary, noticeably decreased in size, and their number increased due to this. This solution improves the performance of the tread during longitudinal accelerations, and also makes it easier to get out of a rut covered with snow. Several types of sipes Like its predecessor, the tread of this tire contains several thousand so-called “3D lamellas” of narrow slots with 3-axis facets on the vertical walls. But at the same time, the shape and layout of these elements have been significantly changed. The lamellas in the central part are directed at a sharper angle relative to the movement. This significantly improves directional stability on slippery surfaces. A significant part of the slots has a classic straight shape for such elements. Such lamellae are located in the central part at a slight angle. This solution improves longitudinal grip on wet surfaces by not only creating high and long edges, but also directing water into one of the nearby drainage grooves. Optimized stud pattern The next major innovation is the stud pattern. The number of longitudinal rows formed by them is not 10, as before, but 12. The spikes are located closer to the center of the tread, i.e., they are distributed more evenly over its entire area. This solution significantly improves the stability of grip on icy surfaces. Improved tread pattern The tread pattern of the tire contains a large number of tread grooves. A significant part of them is located at an acute angle, which makes it possible to use the rotation of the wheel to drain water and its mixture with snow. In the shoulder areas at the intersection with the transverse grooves, the tread has the ability to compact and retain snow, further enhancing grip. Main features of Hankook W429 i Pike RS2: Optimized tread pattern with massive blocks in the central part, increasing the stability of traction; Narrow shoulder blocks improve performance during longitudinal accelerations, ease out of the track; 12-row arrangement of studs provides high performance on icy

Perhaps the fact that my rims were manufactured in Korea is what has kept the peace between us. Purchasing is something I suggest doing. However, will it be available in 2022? I find myself wondering at what cost. They might charge more for such high quality.

Pros
  • I adore these tires in every way. It's hard to think that after four seasons, not a single spike was released. Perfect grip; sufficient grip on all coating types. It always went out without any prodding and rowed flawlessly in the snowy porridge. In addition, there is a great deal of peace and quiet. I was surprised by the quality and affordability of it.
Cons
  • I couldn't think of any flaws.

rode for two years! I won't alter my behavior! I'm completely satisfied! Prior to it, there were spikes, a dunlop, a bridge, and all of them made noise despite costing 1.5 times as much. Whoever desires a spike, seize it without thinking twice!

Pros
  • You require manageability on any surface, within reason. Thinking concurrently with your head is normal. I spent a lot of time on dry asphalt on the highway in the spring, so I didn't think to count the spikes. The tread is flawless, I changed shoes, and everything is in its proper location (season 2 in the picture). It never became stuck. Snow and ice are gnawed as they should be!
Cons
  • There are no drawbacks for me based on the price! I'll say this for those whose hearing is really perceptive: there is noise. Those are thorns, though!

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

Everything suits me. I thought several times: “well, now I’m definitely left without spikes” :-) but all the spikes are in place

Pros
  • Spikes do not fly out at speed season 2 like new good grip
Cons
  • Did not reveal

Be sure to roll the spikes 400 - 500 km in grandfather mode. For 3 winters, 12 spikes flew out from 4 wheels. The roads are mostly pure asphalt. Very good tyres.

Pros
  • Loose snow ⅘ Ice 5/5 Snow porridge ⅘ Wet asphalt 5/5 Dry asphalt 5/5 Noise ⅘ Pulls out of almost any snowdrift.
Cons
  • Floats at temperatures above +5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

At the time of writing the evaluation, I had a Volvo V60 Cross Country in size 235 55 17. I traveled 200 kilometers in Hong Kong, where the weather was pleasant and I was able to test both dry and wet asphalt (without any significant puddles). Driving is done with tranquility. I used winter tires for a very long period and investigated studs and Velcro as alternatives. picked from Gislaved, Good Year, and Michelin Three factors led me to choose Hankook: 1. Prior to this (prior car) operating…

Pros
  • rather quiet They practically ride like summer PRICE on dry and wet asphalt!
Cons
  • They just do not exist.

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

It has many advantages, including affordability, durability, road grip, and ice performance. Its average noise level is a drawback (its predecessor, the Yokohama Ice Guard IG35, was louder) and it is track sensitive (as are all spikes).

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I'll post feedback as I utilize it. 212022202222 I gave my wife a 1.6-liter front-wheel drive vehicle. I completed a 0-600 km dry and wet asphalt run-in on my own at a temperature of +4 +1. feelings following the run. Formula ICE, Michelin XIN3, and ContiIceContact have winter tire experience. There is no longer any rumble or howling at high speeds, and there is also no loud clatter at low speeds. The noise has decreased to a very comfortable level. It's too early to discuss grip qualities…

Pros
  • Spikes installed, quiet, and navigable
Cons
  • Accord on a dry pavement
