These cookie cutters were easy and convenient to use. Coat the dough balls with a light coating of white granulated sugar, dip the press into a bowl of all-purpose flour, shake or shake off the excess flour, then press onto the dough ball. Lift the press, scrape the edges of the dough with a round cookie cutter or glass, and finally remove the excess dough from around your cookie. To experiment, I lightly buttered a cookie cutter before pressing it against the dough, and the dough stuck to the press, leaving chunks of dough everywhere. I just received a cookie stamp so this was my first try run. After washing the stamps under running water, I noticed that one stamp had two cracks in the wooden handle (on opposite sides and at the base where the wood attaches to the metal stamp). I just had a wonderful experience filing a warranty claim with Nordic Ware who was very responsive. Just five days after I applied online they said they would send out a new stamp.
