The product was well packaged with an extra battery. I ran an accuracy test and had to make a slight adjustment as the deviation was only 1 degree. I checked it on a roast turkey, the temp is the same. like my old mercury in a roasting thermometer. The product is durable and comes with a good magnet built into the back of the device. The device reads the temperature in about 5-6 seconds as it is looking for a steady-state value, rather than 1-3 seconds as advertised. Not so hot what's up. This device is not waterproof and the instructions state to clean the sensor with a damp cloth. If you're checking the temperature of thin meat like a chicken cutlet, its weight means you need to hold it longer and more steadily to get the right reading. It also has an alarm function which can come in handy. Overall I would give it 5 stars at the moment as I've only been using it for a short time.
