I won't say it's painless, but it works.
I convinced my husband to let my nose hair grow. This was easy to do with the instructions in this kit. After carefully following the instructions and pulling quickly, he felt almost nothing. His eyes watered a little, but he let me work on the other nostril. He looks a lot better now because he no longer has tousled hair sticking out of his nose! Get this set! That works great!
