Review on 🪚 AirCat 6700CVO Central Orbital Sander 6" 332CV by John Brouillard

Very happy with this grinder. It's light but feels solid. The height is very low so it doesn't feel heavy like other grinders. Generally very ergonomic. I use it for woodworking. I prefer air grinders to cordless or cordless grinders because they are much lighter. After that, you'll never use those clunky cordless sanders again. Hook it up to a vacuum cleaner and you'll get rid of the dust in the store. The stroke of this grinder is 2.5mm (3/32"). That means side-to-side travel is 2.5mm. That's not much. Most grinders are 5mm in diameter. It likes seem like the difference is small but it is.The shorter the throw the better the smoothing but less material is removed and vice versa.I bought this sander because I use it for smoothing and not for removing much material (I use my hand plane for this). Works great for smoothing. No swirl marks after 180 grit paper. Even with 60 grit paper it wasn't as aggressive. Don't get me wrong, it removes material but not that much, as you would expect from a 60 grit.If you want to remove a lot of material, get a 5mm sander instead, or get this sander and a cheap belt sander.And finally, this grinder doesn't need any oil most air tools require you to put some oil in the air intake every day you use them. This grinder has a sealed bearing and requires no oil, making it more convenient. Let's see if it lasts.
