According to N1JSM, CM500 works with IC-7300 adapter and Heil AD-1-iC only works with stereo-to-mono adapter on microphone plug. Mic Gain set at 60%, Comp at 4 - heard myself via WEBSDR. ALC values are nominal. The specifications state that it uses an ELECTRET microphone as required by ICOM. It came with a rechargeable battery to power the mic for other uses, but that's for ICOM radios. I also have a KOSS SB40 headset. I got the SB40 to work with the IC-7300 at 100% mic gain, but it's a mic with a dynamic element, so ICOM's 8V isn't good enough for that.
