I can't brush my dog's teeth. She lets me in, but it's hard to get to the back molars. I actually find this product a bit easier to use because I can "feel" her teeth when I use it, as opposed to a toothbrush. She really likes the taste and will swallow a small napkin if I let her (so be careful). It smells very pleasant of mint and I can already tell that it helps her breathe. She is now 11-1/2 years old and had "guided" breathing. I mean bad. :( I'm worried about gum disease so I chew it and try to do my best. She cleaned them but the price is high and I don't like that she has to treat them for it. The instructions say: 2 Use times a day but I've only done it 1 time I take out a small tub and she comes eager to 'try' it :) I make her lick it when I'm done to clean her tongue and than Reward " I understand it's not cheap, but it's 50 pods in a can, and it's a lot cheaper than brushing your teeth! Also, bad breath has really gotten to us. I have very high hopes for them! PS You'll get some get sloppy but not bad I think big dogs might need to use 2 per brush because the pads aren't very big.
