Soft metal, easily takes the desired shape.
I used a heat shield on the underside (near the body) of a Tacoma truck. This original part fell off due to poor welds and a generally poor Tacoma heat shield. I don't believe this universal heat shield is stainless steel because it was so easy to bend by hand, but the mounting clips are stainless steel. So I guess time will tell how long it will last.
