Review on πŸ–ŠοΈ Deep Blue Stylus Pen for 2018-2020 Apple iPad: No Lag, High Precision, Palm Rejection by Christopher Clearfield

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok pen, but the game check is verified

Just to get this out of the way, I want to make sure people know that the seller is trying to cheat the check system by sending cards in every box with an offer of fifteen dollars for every customer who leaves feedback. It doesn't specifically say the rating should be five stars, but it's quite implied and I think it's obvious that this had an impact on the average review score. In addition to violating Revain's Terms of Service, this can end up burying valid criticism from people trying to get their fifteen bucks. I've seen the card with my own eyes but if you want more proof you can check out the one star reviews where some people have updated their reviews to complain about not receiving their review money. As for the actual product, I've been waiting for the battery to die. before I post my review and I am satisfied with this front; It lasted three days with maybe three hours of use a day. That's less than the advertised battery capacity, but I don't think anyone believed the 20-hour claim any more than the aluminum alloy claim. I can confirm that part of the nib is metal because some of the paint has already worn off, but I'm just glad it's metal at all. Zinc doesn't crumble in your hands if you squeeze it too hard. There's a funny translation in the manual, but it's a great read and includes all the settings that might need to be changed. There is an error: it says the pen needs to be charged with a micro USB charger, when in fact the pen uses USB-C. The correct cable is in the box, and the difference in connectors is pretty obvious, so hopefully that won't cause any problems for people. Also in the box are two spare tips and a small rubber plug for the charging port which will almost certainly be lost within a week but I appreciate that an attempt was made there nonetheless. The pens are made of hard plastic, resulting in a feel very similar to that of a whiteboard marker; something I honestly agree with, but some people might struggle. Especially if your hands are shaking. Alternatively, they could supply silicone tips that look more like a pencil but wear out over time, exposing the capacitive metal tip underneath and scratching the device's screen unless the user puts on a screen protector. You don't get pressure sensitivity, as I expected, but you do get variable line width based on pen angle, like the Logitech Crayon, which I wasn't expecting. I think there are three thickness settings that the stylus switches between depending on the angle of the stylus, which feel and look analog if you're not looking closely. The stylus works great with my tempered glass screen protector. Before purchasing I saw some complaints that the capacitive power button was annoying to use and too easy to switch accidentally when using the stylus. I haven't experienced this myself, but my hands are small and I hold the pen very close to the pen so the end is far from my hand. A physical button or switch would still be nice so I can use haptic feedback to know if I have the pen on or not instead of checking the power indicator. The magnets in the stylus that hold it to the side of the iPad are too weak and I can easily shake the stylus off. This is no longer a problem for me as I have a Logitech case and this pen fits perfectly into the Apple Pencil/Logitech Crayon loop on this case. Final verdict? I do not know. Some of the negative reviews state that their pens died shortly after the return period was over. To be sure of that conclusion I really need to save mine for a while and update this review if she dies on me. My tentative conclusion is that this is a very half-hearted recommendation as it works great for my purposes and is half the price of a Logitech pencil; next brand name. I'm pretty damn sure I'm not giving it a four or five star rating because playing the rating system is just a shitty thing. It's really funny; I ordered this pen expecting it to be dead or fatally flawed instantly, ready to review the game and just return it. Now that he's here, I'm holding on to him. Just take a look.
