Review on ☕ Bodum 11750-01US Bistro Burr Coffee Grinder: Powerful and Sleek Black Design by Lauren Walton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent for the low price but awkward to use

It's manageable after some fiddling, but it's far from great and I'd happily spend more for something better. The first problem is that the mug that the coffee grounds fall into isn't airtight at all, and every time I grind it, dust and particles fly out and leave a huge mess on the counter. Okay, not a big mess, but nothing. Every time I grind coffee I have to wipe down the counter. I fixed this by wrapping duct tape around the top of the receiver, but I didn't have to. Even though it's not airtight, I still have to pry the cup off with a knife or something to remove it. There is no pen, pen or anything. The next problem is that you can't take it apart to clean it. So if I'm sanding every day, every week or two I have to shake and bang the car in different directions for 5 minutes to get the crumbs stuck in it. On the other hand, you get a nice extra portion of coffee grounds, so it's like a free cup! Lastly, the grinder could be more stable, but it's good enough for the price.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Factor Set
