It's no problem to use them for a remote computer!

First set up a computer with one or more mental monitor screens, complete all the necessary steps, and then disconnect the DP cables and connect them to the DP inputs. Then connect to your computer remotely and make sure everything works. Turn off the computer and put it where it should be, in my case the server room, then start it up. I had to connect a USB mouse to use it in a remote session (HP Remote Graphics Software). But then it works like a charm!
