This is a real deal. fat and thirsty, All chamois smell, when you take them out, that's it. They're tanned leather. Soak in warm soapy water for about an hour, rinse and use. Rinse them frequently and try not to soil them by wiping an unclean area of your vehicle (like rocker boxes). When you are finished using them, soak them again and let them air dry. Most chamois are crap. it is thick and well made. I've worn at least 10 in my life and it's one of those "they just don't make them like they used to" things. It's like before.
