I received the Solar TireMinder yesterday and just installed it. Everything went perfectly. I installed the booster on the inside of a 30# propane cap to protect it from rain, even though it's advertised as waterproof. I used 2 4-40 stainless steel bolts and nuts. Next, after putting batteries (very easy) in the transmitters, I checked the pressure in each tire and installed the transmitters according to the instructions. The digital tire gauge read 64.64.63.64 and the transmitters read 63.63.62.63. I removed transmitter #3 and the monitor read 0 very quickly as it should. It went just as quickly to flashing and clearly visible horns. YUP! I took the monitor to the truck about 50 feet from Minnie. The monitor stays rather dark. Instead of attaching it to the windshield, I placed it in the console where I can easily see it. I can plug it into the included USB cable or place it on the dash for a small solar charge while we take a break. The advantage of being at arm's length in the console is that when the brightness is dimmed, it only takes a press of the center button to make the display bright for around 10 seconds. So far, I am very satisfied.
