Too complicated to program and instructions impossible to follow - incomplete and confusing. I arranged a return with Revain and surprisingly the company told me to keep it. So I dug again to see if I could figure it out. I kept having to watch a YouTube presentation that helped me at least program the date and time, and I took lots of notes to set up the rest. You can set up to 8 different programs, each with a different start and end time for each socket. After I was about 90 percent done with the programming, plugged it in and the light didn't turn on and off as expected, I called customer service and the agent was very helpful. From the very first day you plugged it in I found unexpected results in terms of start and stop times and what you see on the display. But if you wait one day, the next day the on/off time works as expected - you know what I mean - confusing. And none of this is explained anywhere. Luckily I had a great agent on the phone. If the instructions were clear and detailed with enough examples I would increase my rating to 4 stars. On the plus side, now that it's working as expected, I like that the jacks are on the bottom of the device rather than the side, so the cables aren't as visible. Once I've programmed it, it works like a charm and thank goodness it has an internal battery so I don't have to reprogram the device in the event of a power outage. It also has a daylight saving time setting.
