Not suitable for hand quilting
Bought for quilting. However, it works for that. If you only have one thickness of fabric, or maybe two pieces of fabric, this might work. It's definitely more for embroidery than quilting. If I have cotton batting with a top and bottom quilted layer, it just won't fit in this hoop. Connection to make it more solid, too small to fit a quilt in. The brackets themselves are sturdy and well made. I don't see any hanging pieces of wood ready to give you chips.
