My son used a pair of these to show off his favorite hats. Not only did they take seconds to install and then use, they hold up great and look like they were screwed to the wall. I love that they have glue that we rent so I can't poke everything (although I know we probably won't get our deposit back no matter how clean and perfect we leave the place). The hooks are profiled large enough to hang a couple of hats, my son hung his two best "hats". But I don't know how strong the adhesive is and if it can actually hold a towel like the description says. I've had no luck with sticky hooks and heavier objects (the hooks I've tried in the kitchen to hold potholders have failed half the time, and I don't think potholders are that heavy). But so far these hooks are great for hats and they have kept my son's hats from getting crushed in his cluttered closet. Also worth noting, as per the online pictures, they are aged brass colored and I think they have a sort of vintage charm. This way, despite having a modern glue, they fit into an antique or Victorian style room.
