Review on ViewSonic TD2230 10 Point Touchscreen Monitor, DisplayPort 1920X1080P, 76Hz, LED - VIEWSONIC INC by Kevin Atkins

Until I got a touchscreen laptop and Windows 10, I didn't think a touchscreen would be very useful. But my hand kept moving towards the screen and my desktop screen felt like something was missing. Many types of standalone touchscreens have been sold over the past few decades, most of which are used for retail or banking. This screen is so good it's probably overkill for a simple client terminal, but in any case it's automatically recognized on a USB connection and doesn't require any additional drivers or software to work. Deepest black, still beautiful and with near-perfect viewing angles. It will be a great multimedia PC or reader in the kitchen. It features standard VESA mounting points and an amazingly strong built-in kickstand. The monitor and stand have rubber feet that can withstand a lot of impact without shifting, regardless of whether the screen is mainly vertical or more horizontal. I was planning on using the VESA mount as usual, but the stand works so well I can just leave it as is. The hallmark of this monitor, in addition to supporting complex multi-touch gestures, is its edge-to-edge orientation. - Edge screen, similar to a touch laptop or phone. That means there's no plastic protrusion on the left, right, and bottom edges of the screen. Not only does this look pretty, but it also allows for useful gestures like swiping from the side. I have moderate criticism for the position of the video/USB connections and the power cable. They are on opposite sides of the monitor and aligned horizontally. This means that the cables are sticking out on both sides of the monitor. It's not bad, but I'd prefer something cleaner. From a functional point of view, it doesn't interfere with the wires no matter how the screen is used. If you're looking for a multi-touch screen that doesn't compromise on picture quality or touch sensitivity, the TD2230 is a solid choice. Unlike many others, including some of ViewSonic's own touchscreen monitors, there aren't any significant issues hampering performance here.
