Addi needles are worth every penny!

Addy Turbo These are by far the best circular needles I have ever used. These are expensive needles (just what we knitters need expensive needles over expensive yarn lol) but I think they're worth every penny. They have an ultra-smooth, seamless connection at the end of the needle and the beginning of the rope; I've never had yarn snags on a pair of Addi Turbos, even on tricky mohair. I find the tip of the needle perfect, not too round and short, but not too thin and pointed either. Normally I don't even bother to relax the line in hot water since it is already very elastic. I used to avoid circular knitting projects because I hated using circular needles or wasted a lot of time on rework. Project to be flat knitted and sewn later. I was then employed in a weaving mill with a wonderful yarn department, and part of my job consisted of teaching knitting (and crochet, embroidery, weaving, etc.) and making patterns for the workshop. I remember one of the first patterns I wanted to make (it was a lace scarf made with cotton and silk lace yarn), I grabbed some long straight needles and my department head made an odd face. She asked me why I didn't knit shawls on circular needles as the weight of the piece is then distributed more evenly which is easier on my wrists and the piece is less likely to come off the needles while I'm knitting and not working on it. . I replied that I hated how the yarn kept snagging at the junction of the circles and the annoying stiff cables. She grabbed a pair of Addi Turbos and said "You're going to love them!" She wrote off needles for store use and I pretty much fell in love :) Now I use Addi Turbos for everything; Hats, blankets/threads, kitchen towels, shawls, scarves, socks, and often I'll convert a sweater pattern that's knit flat to circular knit unless I feel it needs extra strength and structure from the seams.

Pros
  • Length and size are marked on cord
Cons
