Review on πŸ’§ CamelBak Skyline LR 10 Hydration Pack 2018 - Ultimate 100oz Water Reservoir by Jay Liu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Hope the seller shares this Camelbak

This is my third lumbar style Camelbak that I own. I'm never happy with a product that breaks the first time I use it! Of course, it's okay if one of the plastic tabs holding the reservoir breaks. Please see my photos, the old style bladder had a fairly massive holder, maybe a quarter inch wide, and it was NEVER a problem. The new bladder has 2 small 1/8" wide prongs that are shaped like a 'U' when viewed from the side, so the actual thickness is closer to 1/16" The third image shows that when filling the bladder, the person wants to hold the bladder closer to the tip where this plastic holder is. The old lumbar-style camelpak had access to the bladder through a zipper at the front of the pack (near the back). This newer version zips up the back and requires you to lower the camera down from the top to line up with the mount on the box. It doesn't seem as convenient as it used to be, but I reserve the right to judge as I have not used the package and only received it today. There was nothing wrong with my old backpack other than some signs of wear from years of use. The main reason for buying the new pack was the black color compared to my old light colors which were 1/2 the price of the black version. Vanity made me buy it. For those of you who disagree with the lumbar style: I will NEVER go back to the standard package without the lumbar style. The lumbar style backpack is very comfortable and doesn't cause the shoulder pain that I experienced with the lumbar style. Absolutely no problem feeling like a backpack during long hours of climbing or 50 mile endurance rides.
