Review on Catit Design Replacement Filtering Cartridge by Adam Radford

I used them on a large dog it bowl that serves 3 dogs and 2 cats. I've been using it for about 4 months and use 1 filter. I have been using this fountain for several years. I thought the bowl's low cost was offset by the purchase of flimsy filters like printer ink. I got them to try to see if they lasted longer than a pack of 3 foam filters. So far I am very impressed with them and will not buy foam filters again. This filter is a rigid plastic base with four filter compartments covered with white foam. It fit my well well and didn't have the gaps between the sides that foam filters caused. As a result, more foreign substances are trapped in the filter and do not get into the water. I live in Arizona and it's important for everyone to drink plenty of water, especially for my aging cats. After switching to this filter, I've noticed that my cats are drinking more water. Dogs . Well, they're dogs. They will drink from the toilet if I let them. While cleaning, I noticed how clean the water in the well was. The filter stopped everything. With the foam filters I found a lot of small pieces of junk and the sides felt slimy at times. I try to clean it every week and no longer than two weeks, but I was able to live with these filters for almost a month. I rinsed the filter well and used some bleach to get the bacteria out and was able to reuse it. I've already done this 3 times with a filter which is way longer than the foam filters lasted. I would buy it and buy it again.
