This kit is reasonably decent for the price. Quick and easy to insert and remove. However, there are a few caveats. Be careful with softboxes. The pages are very fragile and will tear at the seams if handled improperly. Because they unfold automatically, you'll need to tension them when you put on the harness when you put them away. My hand slipped, the strap caught on a corner and completely ripped the side open. Now I attach it with Gafftape.2. Those are fluorescent lights. If your gate isn't set to an integer current value coming out of the outlet, you'll get flicker. This is very noticeable on the iPhone and iPad. For that, maybe invest in some LED daylight bulbs.3. The nuts that hold the struts are cheap plastic. Don't overload them or add too much extra weight to them. I attached a pistol mic to a hair lamp and it all fell down. The backgrounds are suitable for amateur use or a standoff. Unfortunately, it looks like the backdrop stand (using the same plastic nuts) can't support the weight of heavier color key backdrops. The clips on the lights themselves that hold the softbox wear and break off fairly quickly. Big disadvantage.
