Linco Lincostore Lighting Photography Fluorescent Review

It seemed like one of those too good to be true offers so I wasn't surprised when we had a problem with our first order. The problem was that several lights didn't work, the white muslin was stained and one of the stands had a broken part. I wrote to Linco and they: 1) gave me instructions to get all the lights working; 2) replaced the white muslin; and 3) replace the defective part. Excellent starter kit. I would definitely recommend getting extra sandbags for all stands. The only reason I took off the star was the quality of the rod tips. When everything is assembled, the panel starts to sag, causing the screen to wrinkle a bit. Another reason for minus 1 star, again on the top pieces of the bar, the connection just loosened. I had to fish out a piece of metal because it fell in. My fix for this was to go to a home store and get a 1/2" thick plastic tube. I had to cut it…

A good set, I was surprised by the quality of the equipment. For this price I expected much less. The set was double boxed and packed very well so no part is damaged. Everything on the list was in the box, nothing was missing. I wish the muslin backgrounds were bigger, but they work great with the system. First installation went well. All parts are present and the quality is excellent. The backgrounds are small and the clips with the production aren't very good. I just bought a better clamp set and will adjust the stand to work with the clamps. Over time I will simply buy a larger backrest, the stand will hold much more. It all started well but got worse. I was sold on three second pop up soft boxes. I like them, but they're a bit tricky to get and you end up having to put 12 bulbs in, so how much time you save is practically irrelevant. What confuses me the most is how cheap the stands are. This kit is reasonably decent for the price. Quick and easy to insert and remove. However, there are a few caveats. Be careful with softboxes. The pages are very fragile and will tear at the seams if handled improperly. Because they unfold automatically, you'll need to tension them when you put on the harness when you put them away. Good site for less than $300, it has pretty much everything you need for a home studio. The only thing missing is less than $20. You will need at least one set of $7 muslin clips. I recommend two. You'll also need something to put in your punching bag. Cheap kitty litter works best, but I used a brick the first time. You only need weight.
