I just bought my house and immediately there was a leak that wreaked havoc in my basement. Unfortunately I didn't buy this when it happened, but I bought it after the mold started to grow and the smell turned bad! This block delivers what it promises! I tried lifting it up to use the drain hose but the hose started leaking. Not sure how or where, but I got nervous and just took it off. After having Ridex bags in my basement and seeing the minimal amount of water they collect for weeks, I've seen with this device how much moisture is actually in there because I'm emptying it 3 times a day! That's a lot of moisture! My basement is small but I'm thinking about getting another block as a backup. If something works, get the multipliers I learned!
