The keys work fine on my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I recently purchased a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee that only came with a 14 button key. When I called around it turned out that changing keys was expensive as they required a computer to be hooked up to your car - I was quoted anywhere from $89 for a buttonless key at the locksmith (dealer wanted $185) to $260 for one Key offered with 4 buttons. The only problem seems to be that you only have 1 key - with 2 working keys you can program 3 or 4 keys yourself. What I did was make the cheapest key blade (keys without buttons) ($80) and order these 2 keys from Revain. After making the blade key I had 2 working keys needed to program the Revain keys. I took the Revain keys to a local locksmith and they cut them for $5 each. I then used 2 working keys to program 2 Revain keys. Now everything works perfectly - the doors open, the jeep starts, all the buttons work as in the original. For only $115 I got 3 extra working keys. The instructions provided by the seller are correct for do it yourself programming - just remember you must have 2 working keys to complete this process.
