I read the reviews and noticed that reports of problems with horrible autofocus and overheating causing the camera to shut down would be fixed with a firmware update. Firmware 1.2.0. The autofocus is really not very good. And the camera overheats in about 11 minutes of video mode, recording or not. So if you set it up the device will overheat and get Canon recommends waiting 90 minutes and trying again. Right. I called Canon support. The guy was polite but not helpful, was surprised by the overheating issue even though it's a known issue. I will return this camera. I just bought a Sony A6400 and I hope it works. Update: Sony camera is great, works well and takes amazing videos with working auto focus. Just got back to using Canon as a backup camera or even trying to stream it to YouTube again - and no, Canon Image Gateway isn't working, the camera won't connect to any service. Absolutely useless.
