This camera is terrible, first of all it will overheat in all conditions. What good is a good camera to capture moments if it constantly overheats. I read the reviews and noticed that reports of problems with horrible autofocus and overheating causing the camera to shut down would be fixed with a firmware update. Firmware 1.2.0. The autofocus is really not very good. And the camera overheats in about 11 minutes of video mode, recording or not. Just saw when I saw there was a firmware update available. I like the camera so far. Yes, a dual pixel would be nice, but this is a pocket camera. As for the "problem" with focusing, firmware 1.1.0 added a second AF mode with faster focusing, similar to the Mark II and probably what many users were expecting. Update 11/20/19: Return of the first Mark III. Then they announced the firmware for the "Fix" autofocus, and I decided to take the camera again. The new update gives you 2 autofocus options: mode 1 (the "new" focus update) and mode 2 (the existing autofocus). I bought this camera as a backup camera for my smartphone. I personally hate smartphone cameras. Photos may be good, but when it comes to videos, even the iPhone leaves something to be desired.
