Review on Dr. Squatch Men's Cedar Citrus Soap – All-Natural Exfoliating Bar with Cedarwood, Rosemary, Orange Organic Oils – Handmade in USA by Sara Hunter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Leaves residue, poor lather, poor price compared to other "luxury " soaps

I've been using Baxter of California Exfoliating Bar Soap for about a year, but for $17 a bar I thought I would would check out the competition to save money (and feel like a chump for spending so much on a bar of soap). While there can be comparable deals under $17 for a Baxter bar, this soap isn't far behind. Leaves a rather unpleasant film on the skin. When you're done rinsing, run your finger down your forearm and you'll do something that squeaks/hangs on the skin. And no, that's not cleanliness—this soap rips the skin off completely, leaving a mark. And the foam isn't very good either. Smell is subjective so I won't comment on it, but the strength of the scent is good. At $2 an ounce (now $10 for a 5 ounce bar) it's not worth it when you can get a MUCH better product at Baxter. at $2.4 per ounce (currently $17 per 7 ounce bar). If you've already decided to ditch those awful (but cheap) body washes, I'd recommend playing the court a little. Be sure to try this soap, but try others as well to see what works best for your skin and ultimately what you value about your soap.
